Contact Adhesive

Contact Adhesive:

Bonds wood, formica, painted surfaces, metal, rubber, cork, floor covering, leather, textiles, and some plastics. High heat resistance and long tack time.

Product Application: Fuse Contact Adhesive is a polychloroprene that bonds almost anything, especially non-porous materials. It bonds wood, processed board, painted surfaces, formica, metal, rubber, cork, floor coverings, leather, textiles and some plastics.

Application:

  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, even and free of grease

  • Stir well before use

  • Apply product evenly to both surfaces with a brush or a roller. Ensure the whole area is covered.

  • Allow product to dry until touch dry (±15 - 20 minutes)

  • Line up surfaces correctly before joining, as it cannot be separated once pressed together.

  • For porous surfaces, apply two coats of adhesive, allowing.

  • Store in a cool, dry place

Coverage: A spread rate of 2m2 per litre for double sided application. Porous surfaces will require more adhesive.

Clean up: Clean excess adhesive with acetone or thinners.
